Asiacrypt 2016

Hanoi, Dec.04-08, 2016

The IACR Cryptography Research Fund allows us to waive the registration fee for all student presenters of an accepted paper.

In addition, a number of stipends are also available to waive/reduce the registration fee  to support some local participants and participants from neighboring countries.  A limited number of stipends are also available to contribute to the travel costs of some participant/students. These funds are allocated to support participants from poorer institutions who would otherwise be unable to attend the conference. We particularly encourage applications for stipends from women and other under represented groups. When allocating stipends, preference will be given to these groups.

To apply for a stipend please send an email to the general chair (asiacrypt2016 at explaining your situation.

Further, if you are a PhD student, ask your supervisor to send an email to the general chair confirming that: (1) you are a student engaged in cryptography research and (2) there is not sufficient funding in your home institution to participate in the conference. The value of a stipend will not be more than the lowest available cost of an advance purchase economy class airfare from your home country to Vietnam. In ideal circumstances your home institution will pay some of the cost of your trip and we will attempt to pay the remaining cost.

The deadline for stipend applications is Sunday October 23, 2016. Decisions will be made soon after that date. The money will be given to students at the conference (receipts for travel costs must be provided).
