A PhD position is available at IIIT Bangalore under Prof Ashish Choudhury. Prof Ashish’s research addresses all aspects of security and privacy in distributed systems, especially cryptographic protocols and fault-tolerant distributed consensus. He is particularly interested in secure multiparty computation and classical consensus protocols. The candidate should have a reasonable background in computer science and its mathematical foundations. The applicant must hold a master’s degree in the relevant research field. The position is available for starting in August 2024. The candidate has to appear for a written exam followed by an interview, which will be typically conducted sometime in June 2024.
