CAPPADOCIA TOUR PROGRAMME
April 09 – 12 2008
( 4 days & 3 nights )



DAY 1 : April 9,2008 Wednesday : ISTANBUL - CAPPADOCIA
Departure from Istanbul to Kayseri with Turkish Airlines ( TK 264 ) at 18.15 and arrival to Kayseri at 19.40. Transfer to the hotel in Cappadocia. Dinner and overnight at the hotel. (D)

DAY 2 : April 10,2008 Thursday : CAPPADOCIA
Departure from the hotel after breakfast to visit the Northern region of Cappadocia. Visiting Nevşehir, a provincial capital, which is the gateway to Cappadocia. Continue to Göreme Open-air Museum where you can see the churches which is carved into rocks with the beautiful frescoes. Lunch at a typical restaurant.The next stop is Zelve and the caves of ancient village. Also it is possible to see "fairy chimneys" (natural rock formations) in Ürgüp, Pasabağı and Ortahisar. Tour finishes in the late afternoon. Return to hotel at the end of the day.Dinner and overnight at the hotel. (B, L, D)

DAY 3 : April 11,2008 Friday : CAPPADOCIA
After breakfast visiting the underground cities (Kaymakli and Derinkuyu) which is built by first Christian people to protect themselves from Romans. Trekking on Ihlara Valley, on the way visiting Belisirma and Selime, which are two traditional Turkish villages. Lunch at a typical restaurant. Also visiting Agzikarahan Caravanserai which is one of the best examples of Seljuk Caravanserais. Ending up in Pigeon Valley with the beautiful landscape. Return to hotel. Overnight and dinner at the hotel. (B, L, D)

DAY 4 : April 12,2008 Saturday : CAPPADOCIA - ISTANBUL
Departure to Kayseri for the flight of Istanbul after breakfast with Turkish Airlines TK 267 at 10:55. Transfer to the hotel in Istanbul. (B)

EPHESUS & PERGAME & IZMIR
TOUR PROGRAMME
April 09 - 12, 2008
( 4 days & 3 nights)




DAY 1 : 09 April 2008, Wednesday : ISTANBUL IZMIR
Meeting at the airport in the afternoon for the flight of Turkish Airlines departing to Izmir at 19.00 with TK 336.After arriving to Izmir, we will drive to Kuşadası. Transfer to the hotel, dinner and overnight in Kuşadası. (D)

DAY 2 : 10 April 2008, Thursday : KUŞADASI / EPHESUS
Visit to the ancient city Ephesus which used to be the most important commercial center of the western Anatolia, the House of Virgin Mary where Mary had spent her last days, the Basilica of St. John where is believed that the evangelist St. John had spent his last years in the region around Ephesus and buried in the southern slope of Ayosolug Hill and the Temple of Artemision which is known as one of the seven wonders of the Antic World. A visit to Ephesus - once the commercial centre of the ancient world - is a highlight of any visit to Turkey . Lunch will be served at Village of Şirince. The tour will end in the late afternoon. Return to hotel, dinner and overnight at the hotel. (B, L, D)

DAY 3 : 11 April 2008, Friday : PERGAMUM
Pick-up from the hotel after breakfast and departure to Pergamum.Visit of Acropol which was built on an extremely steep hill, approached by a winding road ascending some 300m. In this uniquely designed city, religious, official, social and commercial buildings are all found side-by-side. Red Basilica was turned into church in the Byzantine period by extensive remodeling, especially to the apse sections, and was dedicated to the St. John. In early Christianity, it was one of the Seven Churches of Asia Minor addressed by St. John in the Book of Revelation, who referred as the throne of the Devil. Following the lunch break, continue for Asclepion called as the place of "Aesklepios", the son of Apollo and the god of healing and health, and was an important health center in Greco-Roman times. By the end of the tour drive to Izmir for the overnight. Dinner will be served at the hotel in Izmir. (B, L, D) /

DAY 4 : 12 April 2008, Saturday : IZMIR
Departure after breakfast for half day tour in Izmir Visit of Kadifekale, Grand Bazaar in Konak and lunch at a typical restaurant. Drive to the airport for the flight in the afternoon to Istanbul with Turkish Airlines TK 329 at 18.00. Transportation to the hotel in Istanbul from airport will be provided. (B, L).

FROM WESTERN to MIDDLE - ANATOLIAN PROGRAMME

Day 1: 07 April 2008, Monday :ISTANBUL KAYSERI
Departure for Kayseri by Turkish Airlines (TK0264) at 18.15 and arrive Kayseri at 19.40. Transfer to the hotel in Cappadocia. Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia. (D)

DAY 2 : 08 April 2008, Tuesday : CAPPADOCIA
Full day tour of Cappadocia; the uniquely scenic area teems with churches and troglodyte dwellings cut into a landscape of soft volcanic stone. This lunar landscape has created an ideal place of refuge for the early Christians and developed into an important monastic center by 4th century A.D. A full day to explore the churches carved into the rock and decorated with frescoes from 7th to 13th centuries in Göreme Open Air Museum, Zelve and Ürgüp as well as the underground city of Kaymaklı. Lunch will be served during the tour. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Cappadocia. (B, L, D)

DAY 3 : 09 April 2008, Wednesday : CAPPADOCIA - KONYA - PAMUKKALE
Departure from Cappadocia after breakfast... Visit Sultanhan Caravanserai en route. Visit Mausoleum of Mevlana in Konya. Lunch will be served on the way. Then drive to Pamukkale and dinner and overnight at the hotel. (B, L, D)

DAY 4 : 10 April 2008, Thursday : PAMUKKALE - IZMIR
Departure from Pamukkale after breakfast. Visit Hierapolis and free time in the terraces. Lunch en route.Then continue the ruins of Laodicea, the cities of Sardis and Philadelphia addressed by St. John and stay in the city of Smyrna (Izmir) whose Christian inhabitants were praised for their faithfulness. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Izmir. (B, L, D)

DAY 5 : 11 April 2008, Friday : IZMİR - KUSADASI
After breakfast, drive north to Pergamum, visiting Thyatria (Akhisar) en route . Then explore the Greco-Roman remains of Pergamum and the famous health centre Asklepion. Lunch en route. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Kusadasi .

DAY 6 : 12 April 2008, Saturday : KUŞADASI - EPHESUS

Departure from hotel after breakfast. Day to explore the synthesis of Greco-Roman and Christian remains that make up Ephesus. A famous locale for the monastery of St. Paul and the early church. Ephesus is also one of the largest and most famous archaeological sites in the world. Also visit the house of Virgin Mary and Basilica of St. John. Dinner in Şirince and after dinner drive to Izmir airport for the flight from Izmir to Istanbul with Turkish Airlines ( TK 341 ) at 22.00. Transfer to your hotel in Istanbul. ( B , L , D )

Day 1: April 09, 2008 Wednesday : ISTANBUL
Arrival to Istanbul. Transportation from airport to your hotel will be provided. Free time and overnight/dinner at your hotel in Istanbul. (D)

Day 2: April 10, 2008 Thursday: ISTANBUL - TROY
Departure from your hotel in the early morning to Çanakkale. Lunch will be served on the way. Visit of Troy, the legendary city of beautiful Helen and the Wooden Horse. After visit of Troy , travel to the hotel in Çanakkale. Overnight and dinner at hotel in Çanakkale. (B, L,D)

Day 3: April 11, 2008 - Friday : GALLIPOLI - ÇANAKKALE
Breakfast at the hotel. Continue to Gallipoli battlefield, visit Kabatepe war museum, Brighton beach, ANZAC Cove. Lunch at a local restaurant. Visit of Lone Pine Australian Memorial and cemetery, the original tunnels and trenches at Johnston's Jolly (Turkish and Allied), The Nek cemetery, Chunuk-Bair New Zealander Memorial and cemetery.Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Çanakkale.(B, L, D)

Day 4 : April 12, 2008 - Saturday : ÇANAKKALE - ISTANBUL
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Istanbul. Lunch will be served on the way. (B, L) Your transportation to your hotel in Istanbul will be provided.
