Workshop on Cryptographic Hardware and Embedded Systems (CHES 2006)Yokohama, Japan

Nippon Travel Agency (NTA) Co., Ltd. is the official travel agent for CHES 2006 and FDTC 2006, and will handle workshop registrations and hotel accommodations. On-line registration was closed on September 26, and only cancellation for accomodation is crrently oparated at the NTA website"Apollon". Conference SiteThe conference will be held at the Yokohama Grand Intercontinental Hotel, tel +81-45-223-2222, located in the Yokohama Bay area called Minato Mirai 21 (MM21). This area typifies modern Japan and is conveniently located for sightseeing, shopping, and business. The unique yacht-sail shape of the hotel is a landmark of the MM21 district, sitting adjacent to the MM21 Line (subway) Minato Mirai Station. Alternately, it is a 12-minute walk from the JR (Japan Railway) Sakuragi-cho Station. All of the other hotels reserved for CHES are within a 10-minute walk of the conference site. A PDF map for the neighborhood of the conference site is available here.The Grand Yokohama provides free wireless LAN service and AC outlets (100V/50Hz) in the conference hall.The six hotels listed below are close to the conference site and offer rooms with breakfast at conference discount rates from October 9th (Mon) to 14th (Sat). The CHES 2006 registration fee includes participation in the technical program and all social functions (welcome drink, lunches, banquet, and excursion) as well as a copy of the conference proceedings, 2007 membership in the IACR, and a subscription to the Journal of Cryptology. Those who wish to decline IACR membership can do so on the registration form. Accompanying guests with extra tickets can also participate in the conference social functions.
Those who have previously attended any IACR conference or workshop in 2006 are exempt from the IACR membership fee by registerering with their IACR reference number. Any member who does not remember their number can obtain it at IACR membership update page by entering their e-mail address. If you have attended a qualifying conferences but declined to become an IACR member, please specify the conferences you have participated in when using the NTA's registration system.
FDTC 2006 will be held immediately before CHES 2006, and the FDTC 2006-only registration is available. The workshop is not related to IACR, and thus that registration fee does not include IACR membership. The FDTC registration includes the proceedings and a lunch.
