Ph.D. Database

The aim of the IACR Ph.D. database is twofold. On the first hand, we want to offer an overview of Ph.D. already completed in the domain of cryptology. Where possible, this should also include a subject classification, an abstract, and access to the full text. On the second hand, it deals with Ph.D. subjects currently under investigation. This way, we provide a timely map of contemporary research in cryptology. All entries or changes need to be approved by an editor. You can contact them via phds (at)

Abstract In this thesis, we suggest how to get the better of privacy and authenticity in digital signature schemes and key management scheme. The main body of the paper contains two (somewhat independent) parts : First, the special digital signature schemes are presented. We introduce new signature types and present some implementation such as "Nominative signatures (presented at PragoCrypt'96)", "Convertible group signatures (presented at AsiaCrypt'96)", "Proxy signatures (presented at ICICS'97)", and "Group signatures for hierarchical multigroups (presented at ISW'97)", etc. Then, we suggest some notions, and give examples of new key management schemes, such as "Verifiable self-certified public keys (presented at Workshop on Coding and Cryptography 1999)", "Pseudonymous self-certified keys" and "One-time self-certified public keys (presented at ICISC'98)".
