Job Description: Responsible for secure design, development and operation of Intel\\\'s hardware and software products and services. Responsibilities may include threat assessment, design of security components, vulnerability assessment. Ensures products conform to standards and specifications. Develops plans and cost estimates and assesses projects to analyze risks. Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education, judgment and formal process. Maintains substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art security principles, theories, attacks and contributes to literate and conferences. May participate in development or intellectual property. Require thorough knowledge of security practices, procedures and capabilities in order to perform non-repetitive, analytical work.

Qualifications required

You should possess a Master of Science degree in an Engineering discipline with at least two years of related experience. Additional qualifications include (you should possess many if not all of the following):

- Knowledge of security technologies (for example, authentication, cryptography, secure protocols), security vulnerabilities and attack profiles

- Demonstrated expertise with computer architecture

- Creation of test plans and test content for validating platform and system components

- Ability to work in a less structure start-up type environment

- Strong oral and written communication skills with demonstrated attention to detail and results orientation

- x86 and C programming skills

Good to have

- Knowledge of Intel\\\'s CPU and/or chipset architecture

The Centre for Computer and Information Security Research (CCISR) is within the ICT Research Institute at the University of Wollongong. CCISR is a prominent Centre for research and development in information security in Australia, performing cutting edge research and development in cryptography, multimedia and network security.

CCISR is looking for an excellent Ph.D. student to work in the area of functional encryptions and attribute-based encryptions, under the supervision of Professor Willy Susilo. It is expected that candidates must hold MSc. degree or equivalent in computer science and/or mathematics, preferably with previous track records in publications in cryptography in refereed journals/conferences.

  The Cryptography group at the University of Tartu, Estonia, is looking for two Ph.D. students in the area of quantum cryptography.

The Cryptography group in Tartu (senior members: Dominique Unruh, Helger Lipmaa, Sven Laur) does research on a variety of cryptography related topic, such as quantum cryptography, verification, foundations of cryptography, cryptographic protocols, e-voting, etc.

The positions are part of a project to explore the possibilities and limitations of quantum cryptography (beyond the applications known today), and to explore how to construct cryptographic protocols that are secure even after the advent of quantum computers (postquantum cryptography).

The positions are funded with 1000 Euro per month net which in Estonia allows for a good standard of living. (Dormitory rooms are available for less than 100 euros a month, while reasonable apartments can be rented for 200-300 euro a month.) PhD students will be covered by standard health insurance. Some travel money will also be available.
