A PhD studentship is available at the School of Computing Science, Newcastle University, UK. The research will be in the area of security and applied cryptography. Topics include, but are not limited by, authenticated key exchange, electronic voting, digital cash, and anonymous auction etc. It is expected that the student will work on a topic of his/her most interest and expertise, with aim to make an impact on real-world applications.

The studentship will cover the tuition fee, and provide a stipend of £14,790 per year for maintenance. However, the studentship is limited to EU students (otherwise, there will be a gap of tuition fee to fill).
