There are several PhD student positions available at the newly established research group headed by Elisabeth Oswald at AAU in Klagenfurt (Austria). The studentships are fully funded and come with general further support for travel and equipment.
The group is set up to work across a broad spectrum of topics that all connect via the goal of providing tools and techniques for securing implementations of crypto. We are therefore looking for PhD students with a variety of backgrounds (hardware/embedded systems, compilers, machine learning, statistics, to name a few) who wish to work in the context of applied cryptography. The positions connect with the flagship research project of the group (ERC CoG: SEAL); please contact Elisabeth informally (via email, Contact is supplied below) for further information.
The working language within the group is English.
The positions are available immediately and the start date is to some extent negotiable. Positions will be allocated as soon as suitable candidates have been identified.
