As part of the extra social and spouse program it is possible to book the following excursions through the Eurocrypt organization. The excursions are operated by KeyTours. The cost include 10% handling fee. Kids are children under 13 years old. Children under 4 years free. Please use Form B to book these excursions.

• Monday April 29: Floriade 2002 and City of Haarlem

  Duration: about 8 hours. Cost: 55 Euro per person (kids 27.50 Euro).
  

  The Floriade is a unique exhibition which takes place once every 10 years! We will begin this tour with a small walk through the characteristic courtyards of the city of Haarlem. This city is also well known for the magnificent "Grote Markt" (market square), St. Bavo's Basilica and the Frans Hals museum. Afterwards we proceed to the Floriade, a fascinating park where green meadows have been transformed into a real fairy tale landscape where bulbs, flowers, plants, trees vegetables and fruits etc. are beautifully presented. After spending free time in this 65ha park, we return to Amsterdam. (Lunch en route is not included)

  Interesting excursion to Volendam, an old picturesque fishing village on the shores of the former Zuiderzee. Then by boat, we go to Marken, which has been linked to the mainland by a dike. (The inhabitants of both places still wear the traditional costumes.) On the way out we visit a cheese farm and we return through the typical Dutch scenery via Monnickendam, one of the dead cities of the Zuiderzee.

• Thursday May 2 (morning): Anne Frank House, Diamond Factory and Amsterdam Canal Cruise

  Duration: about 4 hours. Cost: 27.50 Euro per person (kids 13.75 Euro). Note: this tour has not been confirmed to be available in the morning (usually it is in the afternoon).

  In the "Jordaan" quarter with the Western church, you visit the attic where a young Jewish girl and her family hid during World War II. Later on the tour you see how rough stones become sparkling jewels at a Diamond Exhibit and a picture-stop is made at a windmill. With a separate ticket you will enjoy a leisurely cruise through Amsterdam's charming canals and out into the city's harbor.
