The Fast Software Encryption workshop concentrates on all aspects of fast symmetric primitives: secret key ciphers, including the design and cryptanalysis of block and stream ciphers, as well as hash functions and message authentication codes (MACs). From this year on, the workshop is sponsored by the International Association for Cryptologic Research (IACR) .
