By plane
Aarhus Airport (www.aar.dk) located 40 km north of Aarhus, offers direct international flight connections to Oslo, Stockholm, Gothenburg, London/Stanstead.

Billund Airport (www.bll.dk) located 100 km south of Aarhus, has international flight connections to Amsterdam, Alicante, Brussels, Paris, Frankfurt, London/Gatwick, Manchester, Riga, Oslo, Stockholm, Gothenburg, The Faroe Islands, Nice, Palanga, Kaunas, Edinburgh, Stavanger, Bergen, Munich, Düsseldorf, Chania, Kristiansand, Lanzarote, Malaga, Mallorca, Tenerife, Milano, Nice, Perugia and Malaga.

Airport shuttle busses: There is a bus service to Aarhus from both airports. The travel time from Aarhus Airport to the city of Aarhus is approx. 50 minutes (one way ticket approx. DKK 55) and from Billund Airport to Aarhus approx. 1.5 hours (one way ticket approx. DKK 130). Tickets are sold on the bus. Busstops for both busses are visible on the map of Aarhus (jpeg, pdf). Individual taxi services are available. (approx DKK 500 from Aarhus airport, and DKK 1150 from Billund Airport).

Copenhagen Airports (www.cph.dk) with regular train connections directly from the airport to the centre of Aarhus.

By train and bus
Aarhus is served by a train station with hourly service to and from Copenhagen (3 hours) and several daily connections to Sweden, Germany and the rest of Europe. DSB, the Danish State Railways, provide a Journey Planner (www.rejseplanen.dk). Here you can search for connections both within Denmark, and between Denmark and its neighbouring countries by train and bus.

By ferry
Aarhus Harbour has ferry and hydrofoil connections to Copenhagen via Kalundborg. From Scandinavian countries you can go by ferry to Frederikshavn or Grenaa and from there by bus or train to Aarhus.
