This volume consists of a book and a CD. The book contains all front matter from the proceedings, including preface and table of contents. It also contains a global author index and keyword index. The CD contains electronic versions of all papers published in the Crypto and Eurocrypt proceedings from 1981-1987 (32 volumes in all). Coverage includes Crypto 81-97 and Eurocrypt 82,84-97. Crypto '81 and Eurocrypt '86 consist of abstracts only, and no proceedings was published for Eurocrypt '83.

Contents of the CD include:

• Electronic versions of 1,275 individual articles, in Portable Document Format (PDF). These are reproduced in 300 DPI resolution suitable for printing, and can be viewed with several tools that are freely available.
• HTML files for:
  • A table of contents for each volume.
  • A complete author index, giving direct access to the articles written by a particular author
  • A keyword index, listing broad categories of the field, with direct links to the papers that discuss them.
  • A search capability (requires a Java 1.1 capable browser)
  • A BiBTeX file of all papers published in the series.
